Dennis Walker
Dennis Walker is into his 5th decade as a radio broadcaster. He started in high school as a play-by-play hockey broadcaster for the KIJHL in Creston where he grew up. That experience lead him into a lifelong career in radio with stops along the way in Osoyoos, Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton and for the past decade, Cranbrook.
For most of his career, he’s hosted a morning show and has been very close to the communities he’s worked in. He was named “Man of the Year” in Penticton in 2003 and “Citizen of the Year” in Cranbrook in 2021. He’s also earned a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal.
Dennis believes strongly in live, local radio having done countless hours of emcee work from concerts to special community events. His style of radio is full on local, community-based conversation.
